| Stay Engaged with What's Happening at KALW |
These are exciting times at your local public radio station.
On the air, KALW News launched Crosscurrents, our new daily local news magazine. The show provides a high-profile platform for creative, in-depth public interest reporting from the KALW News team and opens the door for listeners to have greater input in the newsmaking process. Read all about it in the latest KALW program guide, which you can download here.
Behind the scenes, we’re in the midst of the first expansion of our studios since KALW moved to the campus of Burton High School in 1996. In the coming months, we’ll be creating a space where we can produce more local programming, and where small groups of students from Burton High can learn from and collaborate with KALW staff.
We’ve also expanded the ways you can listen to KALW programming. All of our local public affairs and listener call-in programs – including Book Talk, Work With Marty Nemko, Your Legal Rights and Minds Over Matter – are now available as podcasts. And we’ve added an MP3 stream, allowing you to listen to KALW worldwide in the most universal audio format.
Please click here to open up a page that gives you several options for greater involvement with KALW. Whether it’s becoming a member, volunteering for our September membership drive, offering your professional services, or simply signing up for our e-mail newsletter, consider taking a step to increase your engagement with the station.
However you choose to be involved with KALW, we thank you. You make all our work possible and meaningful. Thank you!
